Vernon area index page	Shadow of the Sentinels is a barrier-free (accessible to wheel chairs) interpretive trail winding through old growth forest containing 500 year old cedar and Douglas fir. The trail is constructed of boardwalks and asphalt with grades less than 8% for easy wheelchair access. An accessible toilet is located at the trailhead. A Northwest Forest Pass is required for each vehicle parked at the trailhead.

	Directions: From Sedro-Woolley, follow State Route 20 east for 17.0 miles to milepost 82. Turn left (north) on the Baker Lake Highway (Forest Service Road #11). Continue on the Baker Lake Highway for 15.0 miles. The trailhead and parking area are located on the right past the Komo Kulshan Guard Station. Recreationists are reminded that a Northwest Forest Pass is required at trailheads in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Hikers can buy a $30 annual pass or a $5 day pass at Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest Ranger Stations. Passes are also available at local vendors or can be ordered by calling (toll free) 1-800-270-7504 or ordered on-line through Nature of the Northwest.
