A photo is loading.......To visit an old growth forest usually takes a good deal of effort and a desire to hike into the back country.  Lewis & Clark State Park is one of only a few stands of old growth forest that you can drive right into and even have a picnic or camp among the ancient trees.

Lewis and Clark State Park is a 621-acre camping park situated in one of the last major stands of old-growth forest in southwest Washington. Coniferous trees, streams, wetlands and dense vegetation comprise the park environment.

The park has 25 tent spaces, two restroom buildings and two showers. Maximum site length is 60 feet (may have limited availability). All campsites are first-come, first-served.

There is a self-guided half-mile interpretive trail in the park, featuring information on the park's old growth forest. There is also an old growth tree viewing site north of the entrance to the park.
