A photo of the trail is loading......Mt.Baker – Snoqualmie National Forest Trail 606 is a low elevation 2.6 mile long trail open most of the year for family hiking.  It wanders through ancient stands of old growth timber.  There are beaver ponds along the way and it ends at the confluence of Sulphide Creek and the Baker River.

The trail crosses the Baker River Bridge in 0.6 miles and there is a junction with the Baker Lake Trail #610 here.  Stay left to stay on the trail.  A mile further along the trail enters the North Cascades National Park.  In the Park there are no pets allowed and hiking parties are limited to 12 people.

In another mile there are campsites available at Sulphide Camp.

A National Park Service wilderness permit is required for overnight stays within the National Park. Permits can be obtained in person at National Park Service offices in Sedro-Woolley or Marblemount.

A Northwest Forest Pass is required for each vehicle parked at the trailhead.
